Small Textile Moth Wall Sculpture '11'

Each is made with a lot of love from new and vintage fabrics and is the perfect finishing touch to a home and makes an unexpected gift.

The wings are made with embroidery rescued from charity shops and I state this as I work closely with one main shop locally and they show me fabrics and tablecloths and pieces that they cannot sell due to the condition or it being unfinished.

I love to re-work them into my favourite insect and try to use every scrap.

The bodies are plump and firm with pleated abdomens which are tricky to create but are so worth it.

They have a small ring on their reverse so they hang quickly and easily.

Wire antennae complete the look.

They are all unique and are both hand and machine stitched, the backs are plain fabric and hand stamped with my logo.

They are approx 28cm wide, 15cm in height and the chubby body makes them 5cm in depth.

They are made to celebrate imperfections, odd stitching and are aged gently.

Refunds are not given if you are not happy with any marks or finishes that are created during the making process. I shouldn't have to say this but it's the world we live in!
